COASTAL HIKING - Stortuva or Stappen
On this hike, we will start walking from sea level and reach a plateau surrounded by rugged mountains. The course will lead us through a birch-wood filled with wild flowers. Then we will commence to climb small hill which hovers above the landscape like a spine. At the top you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view you won’t easily forget!

MIDNIGHT SUN WALK - Rekvikfjellet
We will go to the coast where we will walk to the top of a low hill with a splendid view across the surrounding ocean and the archipelago. Let us lie down on the soft heather, just relaxing, while the sun will move slowly and silently across the surface of the sea. When the sun has passed and as it continues to light up the nocturnal sky, we will stroll down from the mountain and return to the city.

COASTAL CULTURE - Tussøya
The tour will start with a boat trip from Lauklines. Then we will have a short hike on a island wrapped in legends and which is a shield against the storms coming in from the ocean. We will visit a person who is building up a museum for motor boats, to listen to the old engines and to get some information about people lived in the old days. Our excursion will cintinue until we will relax down by the beach with a tasty meal in the open.

MIDNIGHT SUN BEACH RELAX - Grøtfjord
We will drive to the coast of the Whale island, where we will have a splendid view across the surrounding ocean and the archipelago. We will lie down in the on the soft heather, just relaxing, while the sun will move slowly and silently across the surface of the sea. A meal of fish will be served on the beach.

ALPINE HIKING - Vasstind
You do wisely in being well rested now, because on this day we will commence a climb right from Lauklines, 3000 ft straight up. When we have reached our goal, we are rewarded with a wide view over the other mountain areas on the island of Kvaløya and also further into the interior.
On our return down from the mountain, you should try to use the qualities of the goat, because we will experience an airy walk!

FACTS!
Starting time is calculated from Tromsø city. Duration include return transportation to Tromsø (and boat trips). At the "Island Jumping" and "Beach relax", a warm meal is included. We have Midnight Sun between mid May to mid July,
but the 24 hrs daylight few weeks longer, so all tours can also run by midnight. Some of the tours are dependent of the weather conditions. It will also deceide which tours will run from day to day.
NB! Sneakers and jeans is not permitted on GuideGunnar`s hiking tours!
You have to bring: A small daypack with; packed lunch, snacks, water bottle, extra socks and an extra sweater.
You need good walking boots, water- and windproof clothing.
The guide brings: 1. first aid kit, map, compass, GPS, mobile phone and warm drinks.
ABOUT SNEAKERS AND GOOD WALKING BOOTS:

For your INFO: In sneakers, you will get wet and cold, and have very little support for your feet in rough terrain!
